Cuzco School INMACULADA CONCEPCIÓN Antique Oil on canvas Painting
Religious painting depicting Spanish Colonial painting, characteristic of the Cuzco School tradition from Peru figure in a richly patterned dark floral mantle, pale robe, red ribbons, and elaborate white floral ornament. The central figure is surrounded by a star-studded halo-like ground, roses, architectural elements, a fountain, and small birds, creating a highly decorative devotional composition. No artist signature, date, or identifying inscription is visible in the supplied photographs.
The work is presented in an ornate gilt-painted carved wood frame with rope-twist and repeating foliate borders. The painting’s iconographic subject, elaborate crown, floral textiles, and decorative fountain make it well suited to collections of Christian devotional art, ecclesiastical interiors, and Spanish Colonial or Latin American-influenced decorative arts. Exact medium, support, origin, and date should be confirmed by firsthand examination.

Condition Report:
Condition is visibly aged and should be considered carefully. Extensive craquelure is present throughout the painted surface, particularly across the face, crown, drapery, and architectural passages. The surface shows scattered abrasions, small paint losses, darkened areas, and localized discoloration; a few fine linear marks or possible old stabilized cracks are visible near the lower right and elsewhere. No signature is visible. The ornate gilt frame shows general wear, rubbing, small chips, and unevenness to the gilded finish, with no major frame loss apparent from the front-view photographs. The reverse, support, stretcher or panel construction, and any restoration history are not shown; condition should be reviewed in person before purchase.
