Cylinder desk with flap - Napoleon III - Palissandro-Solid-Bronze Wood - Second half 19th century

Elegant antique Napoleon III desk 1852-1870 In rosewood and solid wood, with cylinder and cantonnier flap, with two drawers, one external compartment and three ones inside the flap. It has a long central drawer that when opening rotates the cylinder and raises the flap, pulling down the other side (like the closure of a piano) letting the writing surface come out, complete with a red leather mat with a decoration around it . The structure rests on four feet with ballerina legs. It has handles, frames, decorations, plinths, and railings in gilt bronze. Dimensions Height 111 cm Width 59 cm Length 95 cm It is in good condition, not restored, with small details to be reviewed, including: A) Small signs on the surface and behind a leg. B) small stains on the flap and the case, visible up close and easy to remove. C) Two small missing pieces. D) The back panel (the part that goes against the wall) has some cracks. It is very stable on all four feet. The internal cylinder opening the flap, is smooth and functional. The writing surface is in fair condition and intact, like the interior of the drawers. The handles, the decorations, the plinths, the frames, the railing are intact, not damaged. It is equipped with a key with knob, as shown in the photo. (Please Note The key is in the first drawer, on the top left) . The lot will be accurately packaged with: 1) Fabric wrap 2) Cardboard lining (1cm thick) , in the shape of the object. 3) Resting on a pallet base, with reinforcements, in a wooden cage, with edge covers, and surrounded by pressed wood.
