Illustrated hard boards [some soiling]; 6.1/8" x 8.3/4"; unpaginated, 64 pages, a little soiling, very good condition.

After a group of barnyard animals hear that their masters are planning on eating them, they run away into the dark forest. They live happily during the summer, but come winter, only Bull, having planned ahead, has a safe and warm place to wait out the winter.

Graphic design artist Ray Cruz (1933-1988) has worked in several design fields and illustrated a wide variety of children's books, but he is probably best known as the illustrator of the popular book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
