Cypriot Ceramic white painted barrel oinochoe, 33,2 cm EX-BONHAMS

The belly drawn to a nipple on either side and decorated with umber concentric bands, a cross-hatched fish motif on the front of the body and under the striped strap handle, the handle joining the cylindrical neck at a medial ridge, the rim flared and thickened and decorated with further umber bands. Provenance: Ex Leto Severis Foundation, collection no. 2223. Acquired from Christie's South Kensington, October 20th, 1999/ London, Auction, 2008 / All items that we offer for sale will be combined with an export approval issued by the ministry of the Spanish culture department and certificate of authenticity. Exhibited: On loan to the Museum of Mediterranean Antiquities, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, November 2005 - April 2008.
