DAGMAR DADIE-ROBERG (Stockholm, 1897-1966)
"The Golem of Jewish Mythology", 1925.
Bronze.
Signed and dated.
Size: 35 x 15 x 34 cm.
Swedish sculptor who settled in Paris at the age of fourteen after a study trip to Denmark. Her studio was in the "Ville Seurat" in Paris, a city where she attended the annual Salons d'Automne. In 1930 he held a monographic exhibition of his sculptures in the Layetanas galleries in Barcelona. This exhibition later travelled to the salons of the CÃ rculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. The exhibition consisted of twenty-four sculptures in granite, terracotta, plaster and bronze. Of particular note were the works Caryatid, Matilda Princess of Martinique, The Man Slave of Himself and Salome.
