Dagmar Freuchen-Gale (Danish, 1907-1991). Humorous illustration of a man and woman on a pontoon. The woman clearly is enjoying herself, while the man is seasick. Untitled, signed DG and dated in lower left. Sheet measures 11-3/4" x 9". Dagmar Freuchen-Gale was a well-known fashion illustration, having illustrated for Dior, including the cover of Vogue in 1947. She was also the wife of renowned Arctic Adventurer Peter Freuchen.
