DAN, Ivory Coast Hardwood, black patina. This beautiful “Gunye Ge” racing mask features a perfectly oval face, a slightly arched forehead, and eyes represented by large circular holes. The edges of the mask are pierced with irregular holes for attaching the rest of the costume. Early 20th century. H. 25 cm. (Previously restored).
