[ translate ]

SERIAL 20917. BARREL 4". CALIBER .357 MAGNUM. Daniel B. Wesson II worked at Smith & Wesson from 1938 until 1963, and strictly controlled production quality. After the purchase of Smith & Wesson by Bangor-Punta, Wesson set out to open his own manufacturing operation in order to produce high quality, American made revolvers for service as well as competition use. Dan Wesson Arms was incorporated in 1968. His new handgun features interchangeable barrels on a medium frame revolver and chambered for the .357 magnum. This was one of the first such revolvers since the demise of the Merwin Hulbert revolver of the 1880's. You could buy an entire kit that came with three barrels, take down tool, and a grip blank to form your own custom set, all housed in a small briefcase. The Model 14 is the fixed sight service model with matte finish blue and walnut grips with round butt. This gun has seen holster wear on all high edges along with cylinder line and wear to grips. There is some old white paint on front sight. Action works fine and bore is excellent. *
