RIFLE.Cal. 30-06. S# 1908147. Bbl. 24" VAR 3-60 dated. Muzzle gauges 3.5 & throat 2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Type 3 lock bar rear sight. Parts are mostly Springfield Armory with mixed drawing numbers. Receiver has Danish Anchor marking ahead of rear sight denoting issue by their navy. Metal has a mix of different reparkerized finishes. Beech stock set with matching number on toe, walnut handguards & bottom mounted sling swivels. CONDITION: stock shows some abrasions, a couple handguard cracks, scattered dings, handling marks & wear. Metal retains 90% mix of arsenal type reparkerized finishes with some thinning, light oxidation, handling marks & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore has some frosting & light pitting but strong rifling. (26-3554/MJC). CURIO. $1000-1500.
