Manuscript handwriting exercise signed by Darling, the slim oblong 8vo page neatly removed from a schoolbook with six repeated lines of text in her hand, ‘Command your hand and join your letters fair’, signed and dated at the foot, ‘Grace Horsley Darling, her Book, April 28th 1829’, with three lines of similar, larger manuscript text to the verso, again signed ‘Grace Horsley Darlin[g]’ to the concluding line.
