DAVID BOMBERG
1890-1957
THE PLAYERS

signed and dated 19
pencil, pen and ink and wash on tracing paper
26.5 by 20cm.;10½ by 8in.

Condition Report:
The tracing paper has been laid onto what appears to be a backing sheet of conservation paper. This, in turn, is attached to the mount with adhesive tabs to the corners. The sheet is neatly cut on all sides. The sheet undulates slightly, with some associated creasing in some places. The left and right edges ares rounded. There are instances of rusting and specks of staining to each corner of the sheet, most likely from previous paper-clipping of the work, with further more minor spots of staining elsewhere. There are a few small associated tears and repaired tears to the sheet at the corners, with a few further associated spots of loss and thinning to the sheet. There is light surface dirt and studio detritus to the sheet. There is time staining to the sheet and probable fading to the ink. This excepting the work appears to be in good overall condition.

The work is floated in a window mount and presented under glass in a wooden frame.
