[ translate ]

DAVID OXTOBY
b.1938
THE BEATLES

each signed and variously inscribed; also variously signed, inscribed, dated 1998 and dedicated on the backboards
pastel on paper
(4)
102 by 71cm.; 40 by 28in. (and smaller)

Condition Report:
All four sheets are secured to their backboards with strips of adhesive tape. Each sheet is constructed of one central sheet with a number of additional strips of paper attached to the edges. These are largely securely fastened, however, the left most strip in the image of Ringo Starr has come loose and has been re-attached to the rest of the sheet with a strip of adhesive tape at the upper edge. All four sheets have uneven edges and there are tiny nicks and creases in places with some more marked tears in all of the sheets with some associated areas of loss. There are some further minor creases in places and there are a small number of light scuffs to the surface of the works. There is light surface dirt and studio matter throughout, with some possible spots of foxing in places.

The works are floated on wooden backboards with pespex glazes.
