This illustration of a fashionable woman enjoying a sunny afternoon, courtside at a tennis tournament, was previously used for the 3rd Concurso Internacional de Lawn-Tennis in 1906; the text sheets were placed over the original text to advertise the event for the following year. "In Barcelona, prominent members of the British community – attracted by the enormous economic growth that the city had experienced with the textile industry – introduced the practice of lawn-tennis and founded the Barcelona Lawn-Tennis Club in April 1899."
