Model 12-3 Military & Police Airweight double action revolver mfg. by Smith & Wesson. The left side of the bbl. is marked "SMITH & WESSON", with "AIRWEIGHT" above the cal. designation marked on the right. Left side of frame is marked with the S&W trademark logo, with the right exhibiting S&W's mfg. information. Alloy frame and steel cyl. and bbl. exhibit a nickel plated finish. Trigger and hammer exhibit a case color hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece S&W medallion checkered wood grips. Interior of right grip panel exhibits a matching serial number to the frame, minus the "9D" prefix. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box. CONDITION: extremely fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory nickel plated finish overall. Cyl. bears an extremely light dragline. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent overall. Box shows mild exterior wear from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. An extremely fine example of a nickel plated Smith & Wesson Model 12-3 Military & Police Airweight revolver, that one would find extremely difficult to upgrade from.
