In his service to the U.S. Cavalry from 1917 to 1923, the Major became a decorated war hero, traveling from the Philippines to Mexico, battling both invaders and natural disasters in a mixture of genuine American heroism and wartime exaggeration. His life read like the biography of a president or a secret agent: he helped hunt down Pancho Villa in 1916 and ended up in Paris, where he bacame infatuated by a woman named Elsa. He was full of his own amazing stories, but only he knew which ones were true. He spoke out against President Warren G. Harding and may have even been the victim of an assassination attempt. But after all of these adventures, he ran smack-dab into the Depression and back into the true love of his youth: writing." — Brad Ricca, Super Boys: The Amazing Adventures of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the Creators of Superman. St. Martin's Press, 2014, p. 103.****************************************

PBA is proud to present this epic collection in a series of themed sales, including The DC UNIVERSE COLLECTION Part 3: The GOLDEN AGE, coming this summer.
