Fetti" in ink, lower right recto.Provenance: Sotheby's, New York, January 10, 1995, lot 98; Matthew Rutenberg, New York.A study for same-titled painting in the Duomo, Mantua, where Fetti worked from 1613 to 1622, based on an attribution by Chiara Tellini Perina. Recent scholarship has also suggested an attribution of the painting in the Duomo, Mantua, to Antonio Maria Viani (1550-1635).
