DRESDEN AELTESTE VOLKSTEDT PRCLN BALLERINA 7 IN

Vintage Dresden-style lace porcelain figurine depicting an elegant ballerina or court dancer holding a blue and gilt fan. The figure wears an elaborate tiered porcelain lace gown in pale pink and cream with applied floral accents, a pale blue bodice, blue ballet shoes and gilt detailing throughout. Her finely painted features, coiffed dark hair and graceful extended pose add to the theatrical character of the piece. Underside bears a blue porcelain factory mark consistent with German Dresden-area production and commonly associated with Aelteste Volkstedt-style porcelain; exact factory attribution has not been independently confirmed.
