¶ Buijnsters 173. Scheepers I, 213. Complete set of the first edition of an epistolary novel by the Dutch authors Elizabeth Wolff-Bekker (1738-1804) & Agatha Pieters Deken (1741-1804). In 1786 the Dutch author Willem van Ollefen Casperz. (1747-1829) wrote an appendix to this work which was forbidden in 1787 (cf. Knuttel, “Verboden boeken”, 2). – A few defects (spines of vol. 3-4 dam., bindings partly rubbed/ worn, inner hinges of vol. 1-2 weakening, book-blocks partly shaken, occ. sl. foxed/ browned), but nevertheless in an acceptable condition.
