DUTCH SCHOOL (LATE 18TH CENTURY) Dappled grey in an extensive landscape oil on panel 37.5 x 32.5 cm The present panel with the influence of Paulus Potter (1625–1654) a Dutch painter known for his skillful depictions of animals, as well as landscapes and rural scenes. He was born in Enkhuizen, Netherlands, and he spent much of his life in Amsterdam. Potter's paintings are characterised by their meticulous attention to detail and their ability to capture the natural behavior and characteristics of animals.
