The work is an abstract representation of the details that characterize The Virtues series. Hirst's intention is to repeat the colors of the cherry blossoms and the sky that characterize the entire series.

The work consists of a series of dynamic bands of white, pink and green paint that stand out against a dark background. Fruitful offers the viewer an unprecedented and extremely clear view of Hirst's painting techniques.

Fruitful is a limited edition work of 3308 pieces made in 2020. The work was made to support Save the Children's "Rewrite the Future" campaign, which aimed to help Italian children from the difficulties caused by the closure of schools in due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
