Patinated bronze
Signed Daniel Daviau, dated 2000, numbered 2/8 and with the foundry mark Fonderie de la Plaine Cire perdue on the base
45 x 38 x 20 cm ; 17 ¾ x 15 x 8 in.
Condition Report:
Good overall condition.
The patinated bronze surface presents with scattered minor surface irregularities which are inherent in the making, as well as some areas of wear along with small losses of patina mainly on the edges of the legs and the hands, as well as a few oxidation in places, consistent with the aging process of the material.
The surface also presents with scratches, a few small ones notably on the ears and the head and a few more visible on the tail. We observe some dents, the more important ones on the back and on the tail.
All not affecting the overall aspect of this nice sculpture.
