Revised and improved by Mr. Bolton One of the "Maps for Mr. Postlethwayt's Dictionary of Commerce..." taken from the 4th edition, 1774. Skillfully joined and professionally laid down on linen. Malachy Postlethwayt's remarkable encyclopedia of world trade included this map on four sheets. Copies are usually found with later coloring to "enhance" the fine cartouche by Gravelot. This specimen is original and uncolored.
