Pate de verre glass cactus sculpture base from the Nevada Cactus Cup by Joseph Hilton McConnico (American, 1943-2018) for Daum, modeled as a stylized prickly pear cactus in frosted translucent green glass. Signed on the rim, with the underside bearing edition number 224/950. This lot consists only of the cactus-form base; the original clear glass bowl and additional elements are missing. Approximate measurements: 4.5 x 9.5 x 8 inches.

The base exhibits two broken and missing cactus pad elements, scattered edge chips and losses to additional pads, and typical age related surface wear.
