David Chapple (American, b. 1947). Oil on board painting titled "Canyon Poppies," depicting a landscape with blooming poppy flowers nestled amongst the rolling hills. Signed along the lower left.

A professional American football player for the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Rams, Chapple always expressed an interest and proficiency in art from an early age. After retiring from the NFL in 1975, he began a career as an artist full-time and specialized in California impressionist landscape paintings.
Sight; height: 19 1/2 in x width: 23 in. Framed; height: 26 1/2 in x width: 30 1/2 in.
Condition Report: The painting is in excellent condition with no visible tears, creases, or losses. There was no sign of restoration when inspected under UV light. The surface is stable. The colors are bold and bright. Light wear to the frame.
