David Stirling (American, 1887 - 1971)

"After the Shower", 1956. Oil on artist board, signed and dated lower right corner, original artist's label verso that states, "This original painting from the collection of David Stirling, Doctor Fine Arts, Resident landscape painter of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Colorado," with title and date, in gilt wood frame, overall 34 ½" x 41". David Stirling studied at the Chicago Acadamy of Fine Arts and the Cumming Art School. He lived and worked in Estes Park, Colorado, where many of his landscapes were painted.

Condition: Very good, minor surface soils to sky, even under UV light.
