An inn keeper serving drinks to peasants engaged in a game of cards, others smoking at a chimney beyond. Signed lower right D. Teniers. Oil on relined canvas, 28 x 38 cm.

With notes on the reverse: ”G.12967”, ”29540‑1964”, ”5697”.

Marked ”гз6431”, inventory number from the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg, on the stretcher.

While in the collection of Heinrich Graf von Brühl it was engraved by Pierre Hutin with the title "Le Cabaret Flamand".
