Dawson Dawson-Watson was an impressionist painter of landscapes, portraits, and various other genres. Dawson-Watson made significant contributions to the Arts and Crafts Movement while teaching at several prominent institutions throughout the United States. He served a year as director of the San Antonio Art Guild, and after being encouraged by members of the San Antonio Art League, permanently relocated to San Antonio in 1926. He also participated in many exhibitions and was awarded first place at the 1927 Edgar B. Davis Wildflower Competition.
