De Gieter
De Gieter LUCIEN DE GIETER PAPYRUS Dupuis Original cover of *Spirou* No. 2548, February 10, 1987. Signed. Indian ink on paper 20.5 × 27 cm (8.07 × 10.63 in.) One day we’ll have to take a closer look at the integrity of these artists who, like Lucien De Gieter (born in 1932), were the collaborators of the great creators of the 1960s, such as Peyo —for whom De Gieter served as an assistant—and the other leading figures of the golden age of *Le Journal de Spirou* and Belgian comics. De Gieter, in particular, recounts in *Papyrus* the extremely well-researched adventures of a teenager in ancient Egypt. Like Jacobs’ *The Secret of the Pyramid*, this series has inspired many aspiring historians who are now interested in this period.
