De Tomaso - Longchamp - 1973

[ translate ]

Detomaso Longchamp In the past, this Detomaso Longchamp was once restored + - 2005 and is very good and tidy in terms of sheet metalwork and paintwork, and the machine has also been overhauled. technically speaking, the car still has the original Ford 351 Cleveland V8 engine linked to the revised 3-speed automatic gearbox. Since 2008, the car has been parked due to a leaky wheelhouse and has not driven (only in and out of the garage) . -Motor: runs nicely but will notice that the car has stood still for some time, it should be checked, - Brakes must be checked -Technically check everything such as lighting etc. Or a car with a little bit of work to make it a hit! Longchamps are very rare, but also much easier to maintain than an average Italian car because of the many Ford USA parts that are used. The De Tomaso Longchamp is a two-door coupé that was made between 1972 and 1989. It is a typical De Tomaso with a large American V8 in the front combined with the typical Italian flair. The Longchamp was developed together with the Maserati Kyalami. The owner of De Tomaso, former Argentinian driver Alejandro de Tomaso, was the owner of both brands in the 1970s. The Maserati only received Maserati's delicate V8, while the Longchamp Ford's 5. 8L V8. Much less maintenance sensitive than the Italian V8 and also quite powerful with a nice sound. The interior also radiates the Italian flair. Chrome-rimmed Veglia meters and clocks, toggle switches and lights in finely stitched leather and assembled with passion and dedication. In a sea of leather, the large chrome T-shifter of the indestructible Ford Cruise-o-matic gearbox also stands out enormously. The Longchamp is a rare car with only 409 copies ever made. 395 coupes and 14 convertibles. The Longchamp may not be an Italian luxury horse, but it is certainly a much more reliable workhorse with a lot more charm. Possibly Transport costs are for the buyer, The car can be viewed and picked up in Helmond, the Netherlands. It is advisable to first view the vehicle before bidding to avoid disappointment afterwards. For an appointment you can contact Catawiki.
