Deer Lodge, MT Prison Hitched Horsehair Belt

Featured in this lot is this Deer Lodge, Montana prison hitched horsehair belt. The belt features a wonderfully and professionally crafted hitched horse hair and leather construction that shows a Native feeling decoration hitched into the belts hitched horse hair design (leading the belief this was a Native inmate because of the coloration). The leather adorning the belt shows basket weave stamping and a simple brass belt buckle. The condition of this Prison made belt is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this belt in length is 50 1/2". The collective weight of this belt is 10oz.
