The original version had a 18-carat 750 gold nib. The series only ended in 2009. The cap screwed onto the body makes it very light and easy to handle. According to ancient Greek and Roman historians, the foundation of today’s town of Naples would be linked to the legend of the sea demigoddess, the beautiful Parthenope: having failed to bewitch Ulisse (who had asked to be tied to the ship’s mast to resist) with her song, she let herself die. The column of the Cumans, the town of Parthenope, would have been built where the siren’s tomb was located. The classical historians say that, due to their obedience to an oracle, they had to rebuild the town Neapolis (new town) , that grew rapidly, becoming very prosperous.
