This publication was produced as an official commemorative account of the annual Nuremberg party rally, documenting the 1937 proceedings for wide public distribution.

The 1937 Reichsparteitag, held in Nuremberg from 6 to 13 September under the theme "der Arbeit" (of Labour), was one of the annual NSDAP mass rallies staged to project the regime's consolidation of power and social order through choreographed parades, mass gatherings, and speeches by Adolf Hitler and other party leaders. These commemorative volumes, published by the party's own Franz Eher Nachfolger press in Munich, reproduced the rally's official speeches and proceedings for distribution to party members and the public as part of the regime's broader propaganda effort. The rally's emphasis on labour reflected Nazi efforts to present the mobilisation of German workers and industry as evidence of national renewal in the years preceding the Second World War.
