Derek Boshier & Christopher Logue CBE, British b.1937 & 1926-2011 - Sex War Sex Cars Sex, 1967; screenprint on thin wove, 56.7 x 43 cm (ARR) Provenance: The Geoffrey and Fay Elliot collection. Note: this work is a collaboration between the artist Derek Boshier and the poet Christopher Logue. The pair created several pieces together during the 1960s and other examples can be found in the V&A Collection and an edition of this piece is in the British Museum Collection. Christopher Logue was an acclaimed writer, who made screenplays for films including 'Savage Messiah' and 'The End of 'Arthur's Marriage', and whose poems were set to music by artists including Joan Baez.
Mounted and held in a glazed, wooden frame. May or may not be stuck down as unexamined out of frame. Creases along the right hand edge of the sheet. Minor wear along top right edge. Paper in otherwise good condition. Printed image in good condition.
