Derek Mynott (1920-1994), "The Fifth of June," 20th c.
Derek Mynott (1920-1994), "The Fifth of June," 20th c., oil on board, signed lower right, titled verso with a label from The Business Art Galleries, London, presented in a gilt frame, H.- 6 1/4 in., W.- 8 3/8 in. Dimensions: Condition Report: The condition of this piece is consistent with age. There is no visible damage or marking on painting. It is signed with a red “M” on proper left bottom corner. The paint seems a little dark from age and years of dirt accumulating. The frame has loss of gold leafing throughout frame. Some of this may also be intentional in order to age the frame itself and some may be from exposure over the years. Each frame corner and border around second frame show slight separation. The canvas matting around the painting is also a little dirty and could use a fresh coat of paint at some point. This is a handsome example. ______________________________________________________________________________ ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD “AS IS.” NO STATEMENT REGARDING CONDITION OF ANY ITEM, WHETHER IT IS MADE ORALLY AT THE AUCTION OR ANY OTHER TIME, OR IN WRITING IN THE CATALOGUE OR ELSEWHERE, SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE A WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY.
