Hier mit 4 gestochenen Vignetten und 20 Kupfertafeln, davon 9 doppelbattgroßen und 10 gefalteten Kupfertafeln von J. Marot, J. Le Pautre und anderen. Mit Grundrissen - und Detailansichten sowie einer Innenansicht des Speisesaals. Text der ersten, Tafeln wohl aus der späteren Ausgabe, zwei der Falttafeln von Scotin sind 1711 datiert. Die blattgroße Gesamtansicht von Le Pautre beschnitten und auf ein weißes Blatt nach den Vorstücken montiert. Teilweise gebräunt und fingerfleckig, stellenweise angestaubt, einige Faltstellen verstärkt. ------ Text of the first edition of 1683, plates partly later (two of them dated 1711). "Splendid series of engravings.The illustrations are important not only for theis superb design and execution, but also because they provide a record of the planning of the invalides, a major late seventeenth-century monument of the age of Louis XVI".
