Kilim Fars carpets are woven by the nomadic tribes of Fars Province in southwestern Iran. These flat-woven rugs are valued for their versatility, wide variety of motifs, geometric patterns and harmonious color schemes. A special weaving technique is used when weaving these kilims, giving them a thinner, almost blanket-like appearance.

The nomads originally used the kilims as blankets, saddlebags, pillows and other decorative ornaments in their daily lives. Today, kilims are fashionable and sought-after items that serve as unique wall hangings, furniture upholstery, picnic blankets and bedspreads, and much more.
