Deux plateaux Ottomans en cuivre étamé, Syrie XIXe siècle
Two large Ottoman tinned-copper chargers, Syria, 19th Century
each of circular form with flattened rims, the first profusely engraved with concentric bands containing vegetal and geometric designs; the second with a central roundel containing a six-pointed star surrounded by architectural and vegetal motifs

Engraved copper chargers such as those featured within the present lot were for domestic use as portable tables. For a 19th Century copper tray from Syria in the Nasser D.
