Condition Report:
In good condition, with minor abrasions and discoloration to the mounting commensurate with age and wear. French assay mark for 18 karat gold. The white metal tests as platinum. The pearl is drop-shaped with cream bodycolor, strong pink and green overtones, good luster, and a moderately mottled skin with pitting predominantly to the reverse. Please note the pearl has not been tested for natural origin. Diamond weight stated in the catalogue description approximated using measurements. The diamonds are approximately G-J color, VS-I clarity. Gross weight approximately 12 dwts.

The jewelers Basset et Mareau were registered in Paris from 1900 to 1912. They were known for their Art Nouveau pieces and were suppliers for Boucheron.
