Diamond and enamel swallow brooch, set with 53 small round cut diamonds and cabochon ruby eyes, the feathers detailed in blue enamel, all set in silver with a yellow gold pin, 70mm x 38mm

The largest stone on the head of the bird is approx. 3mm diameter. The remainder vary from 1-2mm max. Some of the stones are round but irregularly cut. The stones are generally included and have an antique, grey appearance. Most appear to be old cut stones. I’m afraid because of the way they are mounted it is not possible to estimate the weight other than to suggest there is no more the 1ct in total. The enamel, whilst generally good, on one wing (through a 10x loupe) there is a myriad of minute scratches consistent with age and wear. The mounts all appear to be good. The pin (unmarked yellow metal) is a screw on, bow shaped fitment.
