Dick Ayers and John Tartaglione Sgt. Fury Annual #3 Story Page 14 Original Art (Marvel, 1967). Jim Steranko's radical interpretation of the "Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D." stories in Strange Tales inspired this Sgt. Fury spinoff, in which a modern-day Nick Fury must reunite his WWII squadron for a showdown in Vietnam. Gen. "Happy Sam" Sawyer briefs the rowdy (and older) Howling Commandos on this page from "Viet Nam the Valor and the Victory!" Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Signed by Ayers in the bottom margin.
