Dick van Hoff' s Leather Side table combines leather, elm wood and metal in a fresh and innovative way. The frame is made of solid elm wood with a matt black coated table top. Under the table there is a leather bag hanging in which newspapers and magazines can be stored. The legs of the table are equipped with leather feet. The leather comes from Sweden, it is tanned in Belgium and processed manually in the Netherlands. The elm wood frame is produced in Lelystad by Kuperus & Gardenier. Beauty and functionality come together in this table. Dick van Hoff has produced a steady stream of superbly crafted objects for both his own studio and for: Droog, Rosenthal and Royal Tichelaar Makkum. Through his own work and as a teacher at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Dick van Hoff has played an important role in forming the future of a post-Droog Dutch School for design thinking. His work is part of the permanent collection of Boymans van Beuningen Rotterdam and Fond National d'Art Contemporaine, Paris and Centraal Museum Utrecht, among others.
