Dining chair (4) - Beech - Early XX century

It was designed by Michael Thonet in 1860, and was immediately christened as the bistro chair. Minimalist for the use of the material and for the number of pieces that compose it, the No. 14 is the result of a technological research that lasted almost twenty years, and is so important as it is considered the first example of industrial design. The structure in fact consists of solid beech elements curved by steam, the backrest and the rear legs take shape from a single piece of wood. The seat, initially, only in vienna straw has been updated with other variants (fabric, wood ...).
The chairs are stamped Mundos Austria Thonet, they are in good condition see detailed photos and they sell views and piacute. The shipment will take place in two to avoid damage.
