Jules and Connie Kay were passionate collectors of art and antiques during their 67 years of marriage. Focusing on American paintings of multiple genres, as well as European and Chinese ceramics, the Kays amassed a diverse collection of art and objects, even before falling in love with contemporary art glass about twenty years ago. It became a hobby and a joy for both to visit local galleries and studios together and seek out new and exciting works by many talented glass artists to display in their Palm Beach home. The couple were drawn to pieces of unusual shapes, colors, and meaning, and appreciated the expressiveness of each piece they chose to add to their collection. Their daughter Sally recalls, "Their houses are filled with works of art!" Palm Beach Modern Auctions is pleased to offer at auction a selection of works from this wonderfully curated collection.
