Dinosaur Trackways Eubrontes sp., Grallator sp., & Batrachopus sp. Lower Jurassic Uppermost Passaic Formation Passaic County, New Jersey, USA A truly massive and spectacular specimen, with both museum size and a tall custom metal armature for display, this dynamic offering consists of trackways representing numerous animals dating to the Lower Jurassic from what is present-day New Jersey. Both the varieties Eubrontes and Grallator, which were an ichnogenus theropod dinosaur are represented in trackways on this large slab of a reddish sedimentary rock. An exceptionally large sample for the locality, where smaller plates are more commonly extracted, this features an incredible concentration of well-preserved tracks with even some rare skin impressions in the larger footprints. This scene evidences an unusual biodiversity, with multiple dinosaurs and a small tetrapod being showcased in the ancient rock. Museum-quality for its size, presentation, and diverse composition, this offering is in the top echelon for the locality. This rock is the actual bedding plane such animals walked upon and is worthy of any gallery wall, museum installation, or corporate headquarters. The additional creature represents the Batrachopus pseudosuchian crocodylomorph, and this specimen comes with an artistic rendering of the Mesozoic Era "action" as well as two Certificates of Authenticity and a custom metal armature for easy installation. Measurements: 47.50 x 36.25 x 0.75 inches (120.65 x 92.07 x 1.90 cm) HID09710052018 © 2022 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
