In this historical letter, one of the leading rabbis of the Land of Israel, a member of the council of the Chief Rabbinate, speaking on behalf of the entire Jewish people, expresses his shock over the sudden death of President Roosevelt, who led the countries who fought the Nazi enemy.
The letter was written on behalf of "the Chief Rabbinate of Petach Tikvah and the district and the union of rabbis of the settlements".
