This plate of poly-lobed profile in the shape of a lotus flower stands out for the profuse decoration in bas-relief of all its parts, both on the obverse and on the reverse. The background is decorated with a highly decorative scene: a sage advances on a four-footed animal while a bird spreads its wings to take flight. The profuse vegetation that surrounds it contains trees with large canopies and hidden architecture. The wing of the dish repeats these plant motifs and has a golden fillet that outlines and emphasises the shape of the lotus flower.
