The Disney Store - Pair of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Native American Character Displays (Walt Disney, c. 1989). Presented are two exceptionally rare fiberglass figures featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in Native American dress, originally created by the Walt Disney Company in 1989. These figures measure approximately 26" tall by 14" wide, and they feature impressive cloth, bead, and feather elements. Mickey and Minnie have swivel joints in places, appear to be posable, and may have been part of a moving display. Under the dress, Minnie has an inscription on her back that reads, "1989 The Walt Disney Co. 19/5." Display figures like these were never sold to the general public, and they are considered exceptionally rare treasures for collectors. The figures shows handling with some cracks, chips, and scuffs from use, and there is some toning in places. Screws in heads and backs, and headdress elements are removable (feathers are fragile).
