Alice Davis Early Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1930s). This beautiful and historic painting of a young girl was created by Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929 – 2022) as a child, and proudly hung in Marc and Alice's home for all to see. Alice was a successful clothing designer for Beverly Vogue & Lingerie House prior to her time at the studio. She took on her first job for Disney after receiving a call from her future husband Marc, who needed someone to design and create a costume for Helene Stanley to wear in reference for Sleeping Beauty. She worked on additional projects with Disney from then on, contributing to It's a Small World for the 1964-65 World Fair and later designing attire for attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Carousel of Progress, and Flight to the Moon. This gouache on paper painting was created in the 1930s and is one of the earliest works that we have seen from a young Alice Estes. It is a testament to how this brilliant artist's work grew and evolved over the years and is presented in a 22'' x 29'' Plexiglas frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Fair to Good condition overall with light age-related toning, minor handling wear, and some surface rips. From the Disney Legend Inductees Marc and Alice Davis Archive. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
