The Disney Store - Pair of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Display Figures (Walt Disney, c. 1990s-2000s). Offered here is a magnificent pair of display figures created for select Disney Stores. Mickey Mouse is depicted in his sequined tuxedo and fashion-icon Minnie in her pink polka-dot dress and heels. These pieces served as actual displays in The Disney Store and were never sold to the general public. Incredibly popular with customers, these oversized characters inspired the highly collectible Disney Big Figs which were sold exclusively through Disney retail stores, parks, and catalogs throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. This group of fiberglass figures measures roughly 26" x 14" (Mickey) and 27" x 16" (Minnie). Mickey appears to be poseable and may have once been a moving character. These very rare store props exhibit typical wear from their use and removal. Despite minor chips, scuffs and scratches, they present beautifully and are real conversation pieces.
