"It's a Small World" Original Costume Design Model Sheet Prints by Alice Davis Group of 22 (Walt Disney, 1963/1964). Disney Legend Alice Davis (1929 – 2022) let her creativity and knowledge of fabric run wild in her designs for the "It's a Small World" attraction at the 1964-1965 New York World Fair, where she worked with Disney Legend Mary Blair (1911 – 1978) to create designs for over 150 countries. This remarkable lot includes 22 of her personal model sheet prints for the Middle East, India, Thailand, Japan, Java, Cambodia, and Bali. Each 14'' x 16.75'' brown paper print includes extensive notes by Alice on the colors, materials, designs, and sometimes location of where the hats and wigs would be made. All pages include incredibly detailed full figures that range from about 7.75'' x 16.25'' to 8'' x 13.5'' with WED Enterprises Inc. stamps in the lower right. Similar model sheets are included on pages 222 and 223 book Marc Davis Imagineering in the Disney Theme Parks Volume 1, including one of the Middle East drawings in this lot included twice on page 223. This concept is also included on page 195 of Marc Davis Walt Disney's Renaissance Man. These pages have been attached for reference. Very Good condition overall for this gorgeous historical lot with light age-related toning and minor age and handling wear. From the Disney Legend Inductees Marc and Alice Davis Archive.
